About the Course
The main focus of this CPD is to understand the birthing process and the impact modern birth culture has had on our perspective of childbirth and how we can regain a more natural perspective.
We will look at the basic anatomy and physiology of the body during pregnancy and labour and the impact that fear has on pain. Helping clients reduce their anxiety and fear is what we do every day, this CPD will give you the confidence to work with pregnant women and make a real positive impact on their pregnancy journey.
We will discuss how hypnotherapy can support a calm pregnancy and birthing process and even the subsequent bonding with the baby.
We will look at techniques that we can use in the therapy room and that we can teach the client to use at home during pregnancy and throughout the whole birthing process.
The importance of Hypnobirthing, the SFH Approach is why this CPD is also an integral part of the Advanced Hypnotherapy Diploma course (AHD).

Jennifer Dunseath qualified at CPHT Belfast in 2017 and runs a busy clinic in Belfast as well as helping to lecture at the school. She has received very positive feedback to the previous CPDs she has run.
Jennifer is a qualified Hypnobirthing Practitioner having trained with the Kathrine Graves school of Hypnobirthing.
