Learning outcomes:
This CPD will give you the confidence to recognise the signs of early stage dementia in someone who comes into your practice, or the stress of a loved one who is supporting someone with dementia. You will understand what is happening in the brain to cause the condition and how Solution Focused Hypnotherapy will help to keep them calm, relaxed and better able to cope with each stage of the condition.
The focus will be on:

- The seven stages of Dementia
- The different types of Dementia
- How to communicate with someone with Dementia
- Structural changes in the brain
- How Solution Focused Hypnotherapy will help both the person and their loved ones
- Helping the person with Dementia to stay connected with their loved ones for longer to compliment your sessions and get the most out of your clients.

Catherine has a passion for sharing her experiences, both professionally and personally, to ensure people can understand more about this condition. She has worked for many years in this area and has trained professionally throughout her work.
Having experienced first hand how the system works with regards to a diagnosis she feels that supporting loved ones is an important area that is often over looked.
