About the Course

The Menopause is an emotionally complex issue as well as physical, this workshop will give you an understanding of the issues and the confidence to support and work with clients experiencing it.

The menopause is more than hot flushes, night sweats and mood swings, it effects memory, concentration, sleep, causes muscle aches and fatigue weight gain and much more.

Menopause can occur naturally with age or it can occur suddenly following surgery, some women have minor symptoms but others can have severe symptoms that have a significant impact on their everyday activities.

Panic attacks are a serious problem for those suffering from menopause.

Helping people deal with anxiety in their life is what we as SFH’s do best, we look at how to do this within the context of the menopause.

This CPD is online via Zoom and will include comfort breaks.

Jennifer Dunseath qualified at CPHT Belfast in 2017 and runs a busy clinic in Belfast as well as helping to lecture at the school.  She has received very positive feedback to the previous CPDs she has run.

Jennifer is a qualified Hypnobirthing Practitioner having trained with the Katherine Graves school of Hypnobirthing.

We like to keep our CPDs current and relevant to the world we live in.

There are estimated to be currently 944,000 people in the UK living with dementia, so we are pleased to be offering a CPD on the topic

According to Alzheimer’s Research UK there 34.5 million people in the UK who know someone who has been diagnosed with a form of dementia.  That is a huge amount of people who could potentially benefit from our support.

If you’d like to increase your awareness of Dementia and enhance your skills to help people suffering from the condition and their loved ones then please consider this CPD, details below:

This CPD will give you the confidence to recognise the signs of early stage dementia in someone who comes into your practice, or the stress of a loved one who is supporting someone with dementia. You will understand what is happening in the brain to cause the condition and how Solution Focused Hypnotherapy will help to keep them calm, relaxed and better able to cope with each stage of the condition.

The focus will be on:

• How can we help people affected by Dementia
• What is Dementia
• The seven stages of Dementia
• The different types of Dementia
• How to communicate with someone with Dementia
• Structural changes in the brain
• How Solution Focused Hypnotherapy will help both the person and their loved ones
• Helping the person with Dementia to stay connected with their loved ones for longer to compliment your sessions and get the most out of your clients.

Catherine has a passion for sharing her experiences, both professionally and personally, to ensure people can understand more about this condition. She has worked for many years in this area and has trained professionally throughout her work.

Having experienced first hand how the system works with regards to a diagnosis she feels that supporting loved ones is an important area that is often over looked.
