About the Course
As clinical Hypnotherapists, we are finding more and more we are dealing with clients with mental health conditions. In fact, it could be said that we are only working with clients that are at some level suffering from a mental health condition. In this CPD, you will learn or be reminded of:
- The difference between mental health and mental ill health
- how mental health conditions are defined by medical practitioners (DSM5)
- how they are diagnosed (GAD7 PHP9) including the criteria measured
- the difference between mental health conditions and disorders
- how they are compared to physical conditions (weighting)
- the role stress has in mental health, both positive and negative
- how stigma makes it hard for people to seek support
- how the immune system is weakened due to poor mental health
- How SSRI work
- How we work as SFH to enable clients with mental health issues to thrive.
About the Presenter
Gary Johannes
Gary trained to become a Solution Focused Hypnotherapist in 2011. He has since then trained in Neuroscience, as well as becoming a Senior Lecturer for CPHT, Supervisor and Mental Health first aider accredited trainer.
