Reviews

What previous attendees have said about this CPD:

Samantha: Course was informative and Nicole was very good at delivering as well as giving us her experiences. Good day!

Lucy: A great course . I felt that, apart from the descriptions at the beginning, the content could have applied to neuro-typical children. A friendly and engaging trainer. Her passion shines through.

Lydia: Nicole is clearly very knowledgeable in the field of working with neuro-diverse children and young people and she gave lots of tips and examples of how to adapt your practice to suit the needs of any individual who may visit you in your clinic. I came away from the course feeling more confident in my ability to offer therapeutic support to children and young people with additional needs and am looking forward to adding some cuddly peas to my sensory toolkit! I enjoyed the course very much, thank you Nicole!

Shirley Dodd: Loved this course. Wonderful to see therapists coming together who are up for working with ‘people like me’! I picked up a good number of really useful tips from Nicole around sensory toolkits and recommended reading. I had a lot of admiration for her work with her client, which will encourage me in my own practice. I found her very easy to follow, as were the materials she presented.

Lisa Williams: Excellent CPD which covered everything it said it would and everything I wanted it to. Nicole is a great trainer and engaged so well with a very diverse set of people. I love the way she teaches – she is right up my street! Very honest, open, knowledgeable and passionate about what she does. I have worked with children and young adults for many years, and today I have taken so much insight, help and guidance that I can not only use with my young clients in the therapy room, but in sharing with my own supervisees and students ongoing. I will thoroughly recommend this CPD to others. Many thanks.

Barbara: Nicole’s delivery of the course was very clear and informative. It has given me the confidence to work with little people. Thank you Nicole.

Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) – two-day CPD

Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) two-day CPD

Continuing Professional Development (CPD) available for CPHT Graduates

Date: 22nd & 23rd January 2022 (2 day CPD)
Timings: 10am to 5pm
Location: Online Zoom Conferencing
Lecturer: Alex Brounger
Hosted by: CPHT Belfast
Contact07738 665172 or info@cphtbelfast.co.uk

About the Course

Aim:  To give a broader understanding of SFBT, its tools, techniques and development and to improve practitioners’ ability to apply the most useful parts effectively in the consulting room.

SFBT is one of the cornerstones of our work as Solution Focused Hypnotherapists. Whilst there are differences between SFBT and what we do there is also, obviously, some very strong common ground. This CPD will improve your understanding of how the SFBT model works and broaden your ability to ask your clients solution focused questions.

Discussing the pertinent research that demonstrates its effectiveness, this CPD helps us explain why we work in the way we do, what to listen out for when talking to our clients and how we help them create a better, brighter more detailed picture of a more positive future.

Packed full of those golden nuggets we all look for in a CPD, it will help refresh your practice, build your confidence and motivate you. You will be better equipped to help your clients just that little bit harder to meet their goals.

This CPD is a module on the AHD.

Here is an overview of CPD content:

Aim:  To understand how to work with all aspects of weight management.   This will be primarily focused on being overweight but we will also touch on the other areas such as being underweight and eating disorders.  We will examine the biological and psychological components and focus our understanding of how to implement a Solution Focused approach with this area.

The day will include in depth discussion of the following areas:

  • Adipose tissue and biological components of being overweight

  • Primitive man – is our eating behaviour governed by evolutionary factors?
  • Comfort eating

  • Treatments, effective and otherwise
  • Our approach
  • How to get the best out of the miracle question
  • How to adapt to different personalities
  • Common undermining thinking styles
  • Case studies and exercises
